Hi everyone! I take the DAT on Friday and I struggle the most with bio. I've completed Destroyer and am now studying my notes on that. I consistently get 17/18 on BC bio tests. Does anyone have any useful mnemonics (preferably non-cliche ones) to help memorize some of the stuff that is easy to forget? Or high-yield topics that I should definitely review? If it helps I struggle the most with anatomy/phys and cell & molecular bio. Thank you in advance for your time

I will start us off. In nucleosome packing, histone proteins get methylated or acetylated depending upon whether or not the DNA is being transcribed. Methylation inhibits and acetylation stimulates transcription. I like to think Meth is Bad and Acing (sp?) a test is Good.
Awesome, that's exactly the kind of stuff I'm looking for! Thank you 🙂 keep em coming!
