I understand that we have to take biochemistry for most of the schools now. I see in ADEA book that some recommend 3 credits and some 4 credits. At my university I can take just the lecture for 3 credits and the lab is a separate 1 credit hour course. I don't have to take the lab however, I am not sure if I will regret this later. How many credits of Biochem have you taken? Did it include a lab? Did you get accepted with what you have done?

Some undergrads like mine separated biochem and molecular bio into two different classes, and so schools that said I didn't have enough biochem units said that the molecular bio counted for the rest.

I took a 4 (quarter) unit class, and that was fine for every school that needed it. I don't think you'd need to take the lab, but might as well call and ask.

I had the same concern when I applied. I chose to only take the class and not the lab. I ended up just fine and was never asked about the lab. My health advisor mentioned that it would be ok for me not to take the lab because I had already taken molecular biology with a lab and similar lab methods were used. I wouldn't worry about it.
