I know plenty of schools that want 3 credits worth of biochem. At my school there is a concepts of biochem and general biochem I and II. Concepts is a 200 level while general is a 400 level course. Does anyone know if I take the concepts course, then that will satisfy the requirement?

I'd suggest you contact the schools directly, but I'd like to assume they want the General Biochem I course, instead of the concepts one. Not sure though, but ask each school's ADCOM. And ask your counselor what they think the concepts course will satisfy. Good luck 🙂

I agree. I was told by my advisor that schools want a challenging biochemistry course on your transcript. The concepts class sounds like it might be for non-science majors?

Im taking biochem in dental school right now and believe you want to have a good understanding of biochem before dental school because its intense... and useless but it is on the boards so....

The class is required for nutrition majors and other science majors who are interested. A hard class nonetheless and I really don't think non science majors would want to delve into biochem!
