I realized how little I know about various ethical subjects and thought it would be good to read up on these issues. Preferably texts that give both sides of the argument. Do any of you have recommendadtions on good books regarding medical ethics?

I really liked "biomedical ethics" by Thomas Mappes. It is all source documents about different ethical questions. Then in the back there are case studies, which are basically scenarios that you might confront in the field.

I shadow a physician who has a reference book on pediatrics; the reference book has a chapter on ethics and I've been reading it in my down time. Lots of reference books have a section on ethics...

Consider if you know a physician or practice with a reference manual.

Good luck :luck:.

There is actually a great book by Pence which I believe is titled Cases in Medical Ethics. The breakdown of the topics is absolutely fantastic.
