Hello and congrats to everyone who got accepted in Boston and best of luck to those who are still waiting for the result. I also got accepted in Boston and I was in the first batch i.e. 20th october. I am just posting a little bit late, sorry for that.

Yes I have interview on Jan 12, applied mid August but they kept loosing my recommendation letter, so after calling and e-mailing them 100 times they finally invited me

Congrats to all those who have received an acceptance from BU.Will see you all next year 😉(not that we have much interaction per se).For all those waiting for interviews ,just some information based on facts of last year.
1.Interviews go on for some time untill late feb(but may differ year to year).
2.Part1 score is probably the most imp score BUT the very fact that you have an interview with them means that they consider you a good candidate and from there on the interview is what will get you in.
3.All the faculty that interviews new candidates is very friendly and fair.Be honest and enthusiatic about your interview.
4.Some of my classmates received acceptances a week before school started!!!so dont lose hope.
Dr.Ashayeri happens to be a very friendly person and very helpful too.So dont have any biased opinions before you go for the interview.
About looking for accomodation,its a good idea to start looking sometime in feb,if you are really sure about which areas you might be inetrested in,if not then latest by june.My best advice is to stay as close to the school as possible unless you are moving with family ,then your priorities may differ.Most of those who lived far away eventually have moved closer to the school.There is loads of housing in the area,just make sure you start looking early.
I am sure you may loads of questions as the process begins and I will be happy to help ,but I dont log on much (obviously due to our busy schedules,but will probaby loG on for a couple of days this week) .So those of you with any questions post them here so that it can help others as well.

Thank you for the post. I absolutely agree with you that Dr.Ashayeri is a very kind and considerate person. I like her a lot.

I will enter BU Class 2008. As a female, I want to look for an apt (either a studio for myself or 2 bdr if I can find a right roommate).

I am looking for something as close to classes as possible. Other than Harrison Court and South Block, where else should I look for? I heard it is very difficult to get in to South Block and Harrison.

Also any cafetera I can purchase a meal plan? Is there any affordable way to avoid grocery shopping and cooking? Not that I can't but not sure I will have time to.

One more question about financing. What is the max for federal direct loans? Which of the 3 BU preferred lenders (Access, Key Bank and Terri/BOA) offers the best loan. I am a permenant resident.

Thanks for your wishes 🙂 . I had my interview at BU on dec 1 2005. I was interviewed by Dr.Nargess Ashayeri. My part 1 score is 95 and gpa is 4.0 .
I Know waiting is painful, but a late reply does not mean rejection always atleast in BU..I have heard of canditates who were informed in march and some even 15 days before the program began....so untill its a "no",,,its always a "yes".
keep your hopes alive , i would like to know your scores too....and don't worry,pray God.

Thanks..I interviewed on the 17th and got my acceptance on the 2nd of Dec.
I have no idea who in my batch got an acceptance ...92, 3.3., 300.

I think u can contact the admissions office and tell then u r concerned and ask them if they can give u an affirmative this way or that....or when best can they let u know .....I know its irritating but hang on !!!

Dont worry ul do fine. I know rejections are hard to face. even ive gone through same. So were u interviewed at boston or without interview they sent u rejection ?
Thats a good decision to retake part 1. All the best with it.
If my luck doesnt favour me than even ill have to retake part 1 .
Good lick
