hey guys....

does BU inform you the same day of an admit or does it too take abt
2/3weeks to let the applicant know after the interview??

they might increase the number even more but i'm not sure.

the regular DMD student intake is 115 so on a whole the strength of a class when we have classes together is 190.

My stats are---part 1--> 89,TOEFL 253, GPA-3.60.
Let me know whether i will get a seat in Boston in my first interview.
Or do they keep my file in waiting list.
Let me know my chances of getting admission. I have known thet they have hiked the seats to 90. Please suggest me, do i need to take part 1 again?


Anyone, please reply me as soon as possible.

they dont mix the AS classes with DMD classes..it is that just sometimes some of the courses are done together.

HI guys,

I have sent in an application to BU in the first week of september. I think I should have heard back from them by now, either ways, but I havent...what should I do? Does that mean that I will not be called for an interveiw?

i just recd an email from BU asking for a photocopy of dental transcript showing grades... pls guide me wht exactly are thy asking for... marks cards of all 4 years?
i have sent in ece course by course already...

Hi,
When I got a similar email from BU, I sent them notarised copies of I yr,II yr,III yr, and IV yr marks list, BDS degree, Internship certificate and Dental Council of India registration certificate...and then my file was complete.....

Transcript contains grades or sometimes marks of all the subjects studied during 4 years ,also stating the number of hours spent in lab,all on one paper.Send that one.No need to send Mark sheets of individual years .Hope this helps

Hello Friends,

I was interviewd yesterday in BUGSDM. It was an amazing experience. This was my 1st interview,so I wont be able to tell as to how the school compares with the other schools. Anyways, the school has a gr88 faculty,and good facilities. The students there seemed to have quite a hectic schedule but they were happy about being a part of BU. The faculty and all the students we got to meet were very friendly,and willing to offer us any kind of help and guidance we wanted. I loved and enjoyed every moment being there.

Interview as already said was not at all techinal..It was really like a conversation.It usually lasts about 10-15 min..U wont realise before it will get over.really!!!..
I was interviewed by Dr.Ashayeri. She is truly an exceptional woman!!...I was very impressed by her.She was very caring ,and down to earth person.

I did carry my documents with me..but i was not asked to produce them..I dont guess anyone else was too.

I found the clinics impressive. The patient pool was good.Sim LAb was awesome!
Our tour guide was Pradeep.He was very nice.
Thnk you Pradeep for all ur time. All the students,Francisco,Shashi,YAmini,everyone...it was very nice of you to come over and talk to all of us. Watching all of u interact among urselves and with us showed tht BU students are really like a family. I am sorry I dont recall all of ur names...But on behalf of all of our batch I thankyou..U guys were gr88.The info we got from you is very helpful.

For those who are waiting for interview calls..and wondering wht kind of stats we had..well, I can say in my batch everyones part 1 scores ranged from 89-96. In the end, it is true when we hear tht it is the overall application tht puts weightage on the table...rest is our performance in the interview...and luck!!

Also, remember to carry ur umbrellas/jackets since it may rain ..During the tour we need to walk out for a few min..and u dont need to get ur suits wet!!..
All of us had come wearing formals..I am writing this coz i had some queries about the dress code.Girls, dress smartly..🙂..Make sure ur shoes are comfortable enough..u have to walk quite a lot and u dont need to end up having shoe bites..right?

I stayed at Best Western hotel..They have shuttles to pick and drop u from/to the airport.u need to pay 5$ per adult.Also, they have free shuttles to the Boston Medical centre..However, i didnt take the shuttle to the school..coz it is just a 12 min walk from the hotel to the school...Yes, i clocked my walk!!..haha

For those who will be driving to the school from diff locations..make sure u start way early coz the traffic will hold u back...or u can use bus or train.I dont have more knowledge about this...

If anyone needs to know anything else,please ask..I will be more than happy to help anyone..no matter how silly the question is.

And yes, it was really nice to meet with all of those with whom I had been exchanging mails here on sdn...All of u were really exceptional ppl. I really hope we all did well,and we all get admission offers.asg,congrats again for ur marriage.

All those who have been interviewd before us and had posted their experiences..thnks to all of u.

Congratulations for your interview call.Usually10 to 12 are scheduled for the interview on each Thursday. We were 10 on our interview.Hope this works.Be confident and be yourself during the interview.It will be just a personal interview.So relax and hope fpr the best.👍
