3. How long will it take for us to know the interview result?

thanks

Hey..........The interview is very cool...I went throught the website to gte an idea about what the school offers......also be comfortable talking about ur application or resume......that's it....if u know any students at boston, u can talk to them.........but I dont think u need any peparation for the interview......just be relaxed...good luck...

Hi,

hi friends,

thanks.

where is sumanreddivari???
wht does 'out of site" mean???

hi,does boston send rejection letters even before the interview like upenn does or do they let us know by email or do we have to wait for the deadline s to know our status

hi all,
congratulations to all those accepted in BU....i have my interview on 18th jan, was curious to know as to how the interview is like..is it just a personal verbal interview or would be they testing the theoretical and clinical knowledge also? plz guide me..

Relax,
As everybody says the interview is very nice. Nobody is going to ask you any kind of questions about preparations or anything bord or clinical related. The interview is personal and you are going to talk about yourself, about your experience. You should give them an ideea about what kind of work you did. They do not have any intention of stressing you out. They just want to know you and they already have an ideea based on the file you sent. I have heard a lot of people saying they prepared for interview, they asked themselves questions and they answered to them. I didn't do it and I felt confortable during the interview. If you consider it will help you, you can practice by yourself before. I have only one advise: Be yourself and be honest! Good luck!

can u plz post ur stats preetha and old mirage( called for interview on jan 18)

Hello Friends,

I was interviewd yesterday in BUGSDM. It was an amazing experience. This was my 1st interview,so I wont be able to tell as to how the school compares with the other schools. Anyways, the school has a gr88 faculty, and good facilities. The students there seemed to have quite a hectic schedule but they were happy about being a part of BU. The faculty and all the students we got to meet were very friendly, and willing to offer us any kind of help and guidance we wanted. I loved and enjoyed every moment being there.

Interview as already said was not at all techinal..It was really like a conversation. It usually lasts about 10-15 min..U wont realise before it will get over.really!!!..
I was interviewed by Dr.Ashayeri. She is truly an exceptional woman!!...I was very impressed by her.She was very caring ,and down to earth person.

I did carry my documents with me..but i was not asked to produce them..I dont guess anyone else was too.

I found the clinics impressive. The patient pool was good.Sim LAb was awesome!
Our tour guide was Pradeep. He was very nice.
Thnk you Pradeep for all ur time. All the students,Francisco,Shashi,YAmini,everyone...it was very nice of you to come over and talk to all of us. Watching all of u interact among urselves and with us showed tht BU students are really like a family. I am sorry I dont recall all of ur names...But on behalf of all of our batch I thankyou..U guys were gr88.The info we got from you is very helpful.

For those who are waiting for interview calls..and wondering wht kind of stats we had..well, I can say in my batch everyones part 1 scores ranged from 89-96. In the end, it is true when we hear tht it is the overall application tht puts weightage on the table...rest is our performance in the interview...and luck!!

Also, remember to carry ur umbrellas/jackets since it may rain ..During the tour we need to walk out for a few min..and u dont need to get ur suits wet!!..
All of us had come wearing formals..I am writing this coz i had some queries about the dress code.Girls, dress smartly..🙂..Make sure ur shoes are comfortable enough..u have to walk quite a lot and u dont need to end up having shoe bites..right?

I stayed at Best Western hotel..They have shuttles to pick and drop u from/to the airport.u need to pay 5$ per adult. Also, they have free shuttles to the Boston Medical centre..However, i didnt take the shuttle to the school..coz it is just a 12 min walk from the hotel to the school...Yes, i clocked my walk!!..haha

For those who will be driving to the school from diff locations..make sure u start way early coz the traffic will hold u back...or u can use bus or train.I dont have more knowledge about this...

If anyone needs to know anything else, please ask..I will be more than happy to help anyone..no matter how silly the question is.

And yes, it was really nice to meet with all of those with whom I had been exchanging mails here on sdn...All of u were really exceptional ppl. I really hope we all did well, and we all get admission offers.asg, congrats again for ur marriage.

All those who have been interviewd before us and had posted their experiences..thnks to all of u.

Good LUck to all!!👍 🙂

Congrats on ur interview call.U must have gr88 stats to receive one. So dont be scared of the interview at all.
BU has rolling admissions..MAybe ur appli was completed a bit late..and by then whoever had already send in completed appli. to BU and had Good stats too were called 1st.
Dont worry BU has 75 seats. Out of many accpeted some of them will be accepted somewhere else also and they might go to other schools. In my batch mkot had already got into tufts so he didnt turn up..So, we might have similar cases again..

U shouldn't wprry about about how many seats are left now..Just prepare well for ur interview..be confident..wear a smile ..
interview is simply a formality..more like a conversation..no technical questions..
yes, u should dress smartly..business formals. be warm coz the weather there is cold!!..chk weather.com and be prepared for rain or whtever...

be there atleast 1/2 hr early..this way u can relax..be calm..One good thing is we tht we get to meet our sdn frnds their in person..I enjoyed tht .

Good luck to you ..and also all others who have their interviews.

I am in Boston right now. I attended interview today.
My stats are like 89,250,3.65.
I was interviewed by Dr. Ashayari.
After interview i felt that, she is gonna stress more on part 1, than the GPA/ Masters program.

Today, out of 11, only 9 attended the interview. Over all its a very nice experience.

So friends, those with low part 1 scores............!!! keep ur fingers crossed.

Hai Striae,
Congrats on ur interview and good luck. When did u apply? I have very similar stats but havent heard from them yet. do u have any work experience in the US.

Hi smile2007, yes its true that BU need that magical "9" number. but you are planning to retake part I. and you got interview call. so if you get 90 up then you are in. so good luck to you.

hi guys!

If they need the magical 9 ..

This is weird...don't you think?

wishing you guys all the best!

Hey Toothfairy, yup, they call of us, make us sit in the chair and tell us very

politely that maybe we should improve our part one score😡 ...They even

tell you that, otherwise you are a very good candidate, blah blah

blah😎 ....Atleast thats what I've heard from people...

Stelon, now with my thesis going, I really can't write part one in the near

future....So I think, NYU only is the final option!!! Hope they call me! :scared:
