Boston University Sup app (how bad is it?)

well i got an email for the fee and noticed there was something to write. It basically said why i wanted to go to BU for dentistry.

Is that the only question i get from sup app?

...........i only wrote like..... 3 sentence ..... it says "short summary".... my friend told me that that's the essay portion of the sup app...........



what you guys think? am i automatically rejected? lol any chance that i can rewrite?

The limit was 1000 characters. That's like nothing. You're fine, and no you're not automatically rejected.......🙄

I don't think there is much you could write in there that would result in an immediate rejection.

To my recollection, they send you an email with a link to the supplemental application. There were two questions: Why BU and if you have any family/mentor connection to BU.

It's in the direction. 1000 for why BU, 350 for any connections.

do they look down upon applicants with mentors/family from BU? or is that a plus? 😕

I filled out the whole character count.

I think not filling out the essay shows a lack of interest in the school. However, I am not the person reading them. As for the second essay portion about connections with faculty, I did not write much other than me having no connections.
