Hi im a new member to this group .Thanks all for tons of information here .
Was wondering what is the scene with applicants who have reactivated at BU ?(im one of them 😱

I beleive there wont be a interview again (or will there be ?)
Any comments when would we hearing from them ? (infact i did recv a letter saying that my application has been re-activated and if selected i will be called for a interview) ?

i too reactivated my bu application,but never eceived any mail from them,when i contacted iw as told that there wont be any interview for me as i already did...and i will be notified of the resultys in dec.do u mind sharing ur stats and who interviewd you the lats time at bu...my chances arent good i think

How come you think your chances are not good? Do you mind if I ask, were you rejected last year or put on the waitlist?

just wanted to know..if it really matters that u r not interviewd by dr.narges.i interviewed at boston this year..but i was not interviewed by dr.narges ..does that mean i am rejected even before i had the interview.i have part one score of 89..any feed back will be appreciated...

hi mili....i had the same feeling when i was interviewd at bu,there was a guy who had 98 and he was interviewd by nargess,i just thought maybe since being the director she would interview the ones who would surely get in,btw the guy who interviewd me said he had no say in the selection process!!anyway he interviewed me,i was thinking when i left the the interview why they even called me they might as well sent the rejection letter directly....atleast i would have saved the money spent on boston travel

i have an interview at BU in January. I have a prt 1 score of 88. after reading your posts i am quite tensed. what is it that they actually look for in a andidate at BU. i had thought that it was part 1 scores.

also do you'll think january is too late for an interview call? wll the seats be already filled by then. also how long after the interview does BU send acceptance or rejection letters?

i dont think it really matters if u go in jan or feb bec many of my seniors got in bu after getting interviewed in march.
so chill out do u r interview well.

Can I ask you if you have any Idea about Dr.Narjess???? I mean ,what is so scary about her that everyone is talking about her.

Another question please,how come that the guy who interviewed you had no say in the selection process?????? I did not get this point can you clear it a littilebit please.I mean if he had nothing to do with the selection so why did he interview you ???to get to know each other????

kabani interviewed me....dr nargess is the director of the program so i assumed that she wouldnt waste her time unless the candidte had good score and would be admitted,as i said thats what my interviewer told me that he wouldnt be involved in selection process,probably he would put his comments about my interview in my file or something and let it for others who are involved decide....just my thoughts u know when its a rejection how u can go back and analyse what could have happened..

thanx for the encouragement. do you study at BU? where did you graduate from in India?(i am imagining you are indian) . also would you please tell us your part 1 score and GPa. it would give people like me an idea as to where we stand in the interview process. also what do they look for and what do they ask in an interview?

I too was interviewed by dr.kabani..he seemed quiet a pleasant man..but if what you say is true then i better not expect anything good news from BU.Why on earth do these schools call us for an interview....thanx green emrald..and good luck to u...hopefully we should get admission some where..i wish these schools were a little more considerate in considering our plight...🙁

hi! i was interviewed by Dr.Peter's last year,word has it that she rejects almost everyone.Dr.Nargess seemed like a really nice person ,she spoke with us during the break.Infact everyone seemed more friendly than the other schools i had interviewed at ,but alas!!! recieved a rejection

mili....till u open your envelope dont loose hope,what happened to me needent happen to you....its just my story...i agree with you mili they knew my score was low so they needent ahve called me just called the above 90s applicats i am sure theyw ould have gotten many

hi green emerald, no i havn't recieved an interview call, infact i called up the admissions office and they told me that there would b e no interviews for th e candidates who have appeared once for the same already they would be notified of their status by dec. or after vacations in early jan.

i dont thinbk they would ever telll the result or even the chances over phone,but the guy now(not the old kevin)is responding well to any questions,earlier it was impossible to raech anyone at BU
