I have an interview with Buffalo in the next couple of weeks and I hear that they make you write an essay during the interview day. Does anyone know what the question is?

i'm pretty sure they have a different topic each time, mine was on what your favorite movie was and why.

and yeah, i think the question changes everytime...but i do know they ask standard questions (in the oral interview). i think we can find a bunch of them online at the sdn interview feedback site. if i can get my hands on them i'll share them here...

i think about 10 minutes. its really not that bad, honestly. i think mine was my top 3 movies and why actually, but whatever. my interviewer actually asked me about my choices, but it was no big deal. it doesn't have to be shakespeare. i dont' think it will make or break you

My essay ? was "What was your favorite family vacation and why?" It really wasn't bad, and normally I hate spontaneous writing like that. I didn't even know about the surprise essay when I interviewed.

don't worry too much about it, all my interviewers said was " I read your essay, nice description"
