Hello, I'm looking into purchasing/leasing a refurbished C-arm and wondered if anyone had opinions on the image quality and resolution of the OEC 9800 vs. 9600? I'm on a tight budget. Thanks! MZ

Tight budgets and image quality do no go together.
The most important thing to get with either machine is a service package that includes 24 hr machine replacement while your OEC is down for repairs.

Lost revenue because the C is broken is more costly than more money up front.

There are other options out there, including brands with USB ports for easy image storing.

Lease the best technology you can find like Seimens varic, Ziehm vision or Phillips pulsera with the orthoplus.

The 9800 is clearly better than the 9600. I has four times the resolution (1000 x 1000 lines vs 512 x 512 lines)

The price of used 9800's should come down soon since the 9900 is out in all versions now.

i dont like either. I think you get what you pay for. Phillips Pulsea!

Thanks for the advice. I'm now comparing a lease on a Refurb. OEC 9800 to a newer Philips Pulsera. Another option would be to cut my costs more by going with a Refurb OEC 9600. Is is wiser to get the best image quality (Pulsera/9800) or keep costs low (9600) when starting a new practice?
Thanks...

better image. You will be mad later. Spend a few extra bucks up front. try to lease to own, something that is economic middle ground.
