Nova makes you buy thier laptop computers as well......other then that what do you need.....???

My school lets us get whatever we want. For the first yr, if you don't want to purchase one, they will lease you one.

I bought a dell inspiron 1525. I added all the upgrades to it to make it smoking fast and it cost me less than $1000. My parents have a kickass rewards program at their job and that how I got such a great deal.

I also purchased microsoft vista ultimate from my undergrad at it cost me $28 as a student. I suggest all of you try to see if your schools offer awesome deals on software before leaving or get some student to buy it for you. Also got office 2007 for like $25. Saved a ton!

I am going to Temple, and as of right now I am going to purchase a Mac. I like the compactness and the fact that it is light weight. Also because of the size and weight I don't think that it is badly priced. For similar models of its size and weight I was finding much higher prices.

right now, they are offering some deals for the macs... also don;t forget to sign in with your school, they give student discounts.

Looking at this guy for a new laptop:

http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/prod...TS&cm_ite=1 PRODUCT&cm_keycode=3#availability

My bro has a Toshiba like it and loves how he could write notes right on the screen. Also, I found myself wasting a ton of paper and ink in undergrad on printing powerpoints. The integrated webcam is a nice touch, too. Anybody know anything about it?

I kind of want a PDA too, but I think I'm going to wait on that until I start seeing pts.

i just bought a blackberry three weeks ago and love it. you can synch your email and calendar with the device. it gives me reminders for all my calendar stuff. also, my contacts are the same as my email contacts.

i recommend it to anyone.

and brickbreaker is awesome!

such a nice laptop...only draw back i heard about that is the grainy screen....but a tablet for $1k = a steal....

I bought a Toshiba Satellite U405 13" laptop for $899 at Best Buy. I love it. UPenn doesn't require a laptop. I called to find out the specifications, but I was told it wasn't required.

i have cingular and i got the samsung blackjack II. I love my phone so much😍

the only thing I don't get is how to dial a number that has letters in it with a QWERTY keybord phone 😕 anyone know?

A new Macbook, (required for Colorado; hopefully they let us get a Macbook Pro and customize it), a 500GB Time Capsule, and another trusty prepaid Tracfone! Might get one of those nifty calculator watches, too (always wanted one).

Using the IBM/lenovo x series I used at work. Pretty stable labtop overall, and performs very well.

Currently using the Blackberry Curve, but the latest version of the iphone (3g ?) looks quite nice. I like it, but not sure if I need it.

Am definitely buying a lower end laser printer though.
