I do not intend on bringing negativity or attempt to discourage anyone from applying to this school as I have no personal opinion on the actual workings of this institution. I merely presented a statement that was written DIRECTLY from LECOM so I do not understand why you would consider it "juvenile" considering the fact the it was a rather strong opinion coming from a pharmacy school. I came to the conclusion of juvenile because of the comments on the links I did read gave me the impression of crying unprofessional children. I see general issues and out of context information to fit the desire of the poster which is to bash lecom. You seem to believe this unviable post made on facebook to be the true opinion of a the entire school. I just do not understand why any school or business would ever truely post such a slanderous jeopardizing post...you can't believe everything you read on the internet. That post did not come from a schools entirely as a whole.. it came from A source. One hacker..one disgruntled student or employee. One person hitting submit. Call me a skeptic but I know how things can easily be manipulated and I try to look at the whole..people please facebook is not a viable source of information. first thing I saw on that unviable link was surplus of pharmacist and lecom graduating to many students. trying to manipulate such a generalized statement to focus on lecom but it can apply to every pharmacy school. If surplus then no pharmacy school should be operating. Growing seats? 143 seats here in fl. Got to hate lecom now surplusing pharmacy..but nova in florida accepts 350 students according to pharmcas...got to hate them too..palm atlantac 150 students in fl..and so on and so on..this opener on the page with the generalized information sign of manipulating stats showing bias opinions discredited anything this site offers. And the big kicker they are pushing is a facebook post come on. I can type I hate any school and ill get thousands of hits..most all sound the same unreliable unviable drool of juvenile complaints of no drinking water got to look professional

If you had a real viable source to beware of this school or any other school then post away..help others!!just help them with real information with credible sources. but thank you for your concerns and warnings. Of course, but my viable source is directly from the Facebook page that is held by LECOM. I can confirm that I saw the post on their Facebook page and other SDN members as well (http://forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/lecom-quit-giving-kids-piss-tests.1040242/#post-14587230). I just wanted to fill you and other potential applicants in with what I had come to find over the course of my journey to pharmacy school because at a certain point I also considered LECOM and their affordable education. Ok the post was made on the DO? Facebook?...by a moderator or someone who didn't have permission to post such a thing. Facebook is just easily tampered with. Just because it was posted on that page (which it has been removed) Does not mean that is the collective opinion of administration. It could of been plan rivalry between DO and pharmacy. That happens other professions look down on others. Since we can quote fb ill point out the hangover when stu says im a Dr and the value of his PhD is degraded and pointed out just a dentist your not a real Dr. Anyways credible source wouldn't be anonymous to me. I tried to see who is the actual poster and source of letter that got on fb but it doesn't say and anyone can put anyone's name to anything. Thats why a facebook page is not viable there isnt proof of actual source or if document was taken out of context ect ect. Once I jumped on my bf fb cause he left it open and posted something silly...it wasn't from him but by me...fb not a source. Facebook causes so many problems...and this forum does provide great information but also not gaurantee accurate..like I have a 4.0 I have PhD..I attended Harvard. And I'm a swimsuit model. Lol not even close. That is why the internet is not always a representation of viable source. But on a true side I only know what I have experienced with lecom and what my friends say..and I don't know what my true feelings are of this school cause I am not a student...hope I don't have to come on and tell you that your right one day * big grin* so where did you decide to attend? as everyone on this page can tell I have been debating back and forth about a certain topic. I only do this because I was placed in a real life situation..I was presented with legal documents that was presented by a prosecutor to sway me and others to their side. I was in a courtroom and I believed what I was presented had to be factual and complete. Never thinking the document and statements said by the defendant could ever be out of context or not the whole picture. The panel read this document and statements and was swayed to the prosecutors side. When I was young I wanted to be a lawyer and I was in a program and we had the opportunity to go to juvenile court and sit on the sentencing panel. During the hearing we were able to ask the minor questions to which he was directed to give yes and no answers. We asked did you attack this boy? Did you say these things to him? yes he would answer. We could see he had no remorse and he really didn't. The boy never would say sorry. We threw the max at him. house arrest, community service, he had to do housework for his disabled grandmother, ect ect. We saw him as this mean bully. That day I learned the hard way to look at the big picture..consider the source and why it is being presented. After the hearing was over we gathered in chambers and we learned that the defendants lawyer was horrible! The boy was not the bully. This boy was taunted and hit by this bigger kid everyday coming home from school and park. Until one day he saw his bully hitting on his little brother. He ran to the boy and beat the bully up protecting his brother who was half the kids age. When this bully would hit him he never fought back it was only when he hit his baby brother did he ever raise a hand to him. But the documents the evidence presented?!?! it just showed how even facts and actual events/statements are easily manipulated to sway ones mind in their favor. We read these papers and were all gun-ho yea yea throw the book at him! he is horrible how could he be so bad! he wont say sorry even! I might not be able to confirm or deny the true nature of LECOM but from my own life experience of believing 100% something is accurate or read it online must be true..I can say beware of doing that. I know how peoples minds can be persuaded and people jump on bandwagons. All I can offer is be careful believing things you read online and considering viable unbiased sources. As you can tell my original passion for Law faded away but I still got that debate in me *wink. Nothing personal against the posters or to put them down I quite enjoyed it. I cant offer real life experience about LECOM but I can offer my experience of believing false things presented to me with the purpose of persuading to agree with the presenter... only to be fooled. Good luck to all in whatever path they choose. =)
Actually I better take that back before my sister finds out and tries to push me out of her moving car or something. She is still mad I decided not to go there for my undergrad..just no $$$$ couldn't move there. :-D .

You should be able to know by the Monday after your interview. If not, just call them or you will have to wait for at least 2 weeks for a letter.
when did they let you know about your interview invite?
They sent me an email by the beginning of November for the interview invite and I submitted my supplemental around October 12

Well passed the 1st semester and have never had to study so hard before! Obviously there are those who are smarter and do not need to study as much but I do the best I can which apparently is enough. Next semester starts this coming Wednesday and I already started studying for class as I want to have a running start and not be in survival mode all semester like the last one. Word to the wise and enjoy the time off as best you can cause the semester is a grind all day every day. I spent my break going on a cruise, then chilling pool side (a benefit to being at lecom in Bradenton during the winter). Good luck to those still waiting for interviews or decisions. I was end of the cycle as well last year and was only getting to the application review stage at this time but look where I am now!

My interview is on January 30th. Kind of nervous about it being this will be my first pharmacy school interview. I just got done reading the LECOM student handbook. I want to know everything about this school just to be prepared for any kind of question in the interview. I'm slightly worried because I have taken the PCAT twice now and the second time I got a 33 composite, mainly slacking in quantitative ability and reading comp. Its been almost three years since I've calculus/trig so I was completely lost on half those quantitative questions. My GPA is a 3.17 and I'm a senior at Florida State University. I am also a full time state certified pharmacy technician. Even though my PCAT sucks, I'm hoping that my application as a whole will make the interviewees content. QUESTIONS: how many people do your interview in front of? what are the primary questions that are asked? Generally how long does it take to hear back from an interview? I'm sure that i'm not the only one nervous about this interview.

Look at the interview section on this site. They were the same exact questions. Usually there is only one person. I had one professor and one student who was on academic rotation. That's how it was last year. Idk if its the same. I don't go there.
Wishing everyone luck!!! Just to remind everyone going to interviews...stop looking at your stats and worrying about pcat scores. You meet what they are looking for or you wouldnt be there to interview. This is your chance to show them you're not just stats and numbers you are a person who is passionate about becoming a pharmacist. This is your interview but it is just as much you interviewing them. This is your investment take this interview as a chance to ask them questions and learn about Lecom and make sure this is the place you want to invest your money and the next 4 years of your life. Enjoy the opportunity and good luck on where ever you decide is best for you
Don't bring they will have a chance to visit the school. if your parents need to approve of your school first you should wait for an open house event. I did attend an open house and some students did bring parents. Down fall is the over powering parents that take all the time away from you getting to talk to people. This happened during my session. One admission person eventually asked the father if he was the applicant or his son. Btw never bring a friend or parent to a interview of any kind. At my job if anyone brings someone to the interview they are automatically declined for position. Not sure if Lecom is like that but that isn't a risk I would be willing to take. Good luck

Hello, I was wondering if any pharmacy students that have finished their first year can tell me about the grading policy at LECOM Bradenton campus.
Is it pass or no pass or do they give letter grades. Is there a curve or straight scale. I also am curious about how often the school gives testing. Any insight
