Hi, okay, this might be a dumb question but I don't really have anyone else to ask. I have taken Calc I and I got an A. BUT that was 2 years ago. Someone told me that I don't have much of a shot at a good med school unless I take another semester of Calc. Since my Calculus is kind of rusty (as an understatement) I don't really want to do that. I had planned on taking Stats and let that be the end of my math courses. Does anybody have any advice?

Get a Shaum's Outline Series for Calculus, and refresh yourself. It's useful, and it'll look good to have it in your course list. If to prove nothing but to yourself that you can overcome any obstacle that may stand in your way.

I mean if you can do every other subject surely you can do something as logical and linear as mathematics?

😉

Good luck, man. All the best to you.

IMHO, don't jump back into Calc II just to have calculus experience. First, you will never apply it. Second, Calc II is the toughest of the I/II/III/Diff. Eq. series.

I would suggest a calculus based engr/econ/statistics, whatever you enjoy most. This will give you the calculus notch on your belt, but probably be more pleasant.

Or, if your into S&M.......hello Calculus II. Mine was a 5 hr class & royal pain in the a$$ 🙁
