Hi. I was wondering if there is anyone on here who’s part of the Class of 2024 for Loma Linda University and looking into finding roommates for this upcoming summer?

Yeah, they've been pretty weird/random and it's definitely frustrating and making me anxious 🙁
I applied for Chapman's fall cohort in early september and still haven't heard back either :/

Hey guys! I applied to Chapman last cycle and they didn’t get back to me until the end of March to tell me I was waitlisted. Every time I emailed them beforehand they gave me the runaround and totally effed with my head. I hated the process so much I didn’t even apply to them this year. So just warning you guys that this is how they are.

I got rejected to their summer cohort because they told me the reason was that I would have classes in session...except I graduated in December... and I still haven't heard back about the Fall cohort. They also accepted someone from my university who took the same Biology courses as me, but they told me that they wouldn't accept my Bio courses.
They are sooooo unorganized. I remember I even had an appointment to speak to an advisor, and not only did they miss my appointment, they didn’t get back to me until four days later. Just awful. Don’t take it personally. I also know someone whose fiancée is in the program and she hates it

I just declined my Chapman Fall cohort acceptance so maybe they will let someone else know soon.

Yikes what does she hate about the program? This is kind of making me just want to put my deposit down at the other school I’ve been accepted to even though Chapman is my cheapest option 🙁

I would go ahead and put your deposit down at the other school- just to be safe

I can’t remember exactly what he said, but that they only cared about her money, they’re unorganized and she doesn’t feel like she has the help she needs. I’ve met alumni from there that liked it, so if it’s your last resort I wouldn’t stress. I just really didn’t like how unorganized their administration was, and I didn’t want to apply to them again. I honestly wasn’t going to say anything but after seeing so many people on this forum stress about the lack of communication I thought I should 🤷🏻‍♀️

i currently go to Chapman for undergrad and its the best place in the world...I know they receive a lot of applications and covid is making it hard but I do know their undergrad and grad are completely separate so 🤷‍♀️

Oh gosh 😭 i guess I’ll just wait and see

Just gave up my seat for Mount Saint Mary's, hope this helps someone out!

Hey y’all, just got a Chapman Fall cohort acceptance email a few minutes ago (submitted 8/14.) I applied to CSULB and UCSF as well so this is 1/3 for me so far!

Chapman is my last choice due to price but I still think it’s a great program. Ive talked to some students as well as a lecturer (outside of formal Chapman admissions settings) and they all had positive opinions as well. I agree that admissions is maybe not the best but it seems like the professors are really engaged and there’s a lot of flexibility and support within the program. However, with such a big program, I’m sure there’s a lot of variability in the student experience as well!!

side note: any current Chapman students or Fall cohort people, I’d love to chat with you to hear your reasons for choosing CU/general thoughts!

Does anyone know when UCSF will send out decisions? My interview is 1/9, but I have deposit deadlines for other schools due 1/15 and I'm not sure if I'll hear back in time..

I’m pretty sure they said they let us know very quickly, like on the 11th or something.

I'm in the exact same position lol. Is UCSF your #1 choice?

hey everyone! I got into USC and the deadline for a deposit is 1/15. I emailed the department and asked for an extension for the deadline and they granted me one! My deposit due date is now 1/29. I thought this may help other people in a similar situation and give other people accepted to USC more time for other schools’ decisions to come in!

When did you hear back from them and when did you apply

regardless, i still think you should put deposits down. for me, i heard back from USA in september and it’s my backup school but i put the $100 deposit down anyways since it was so early on and didn’t know if I’d get into anywhere else. $100 is nothing in the bigger picture of thousands and thousands of dollars in student loans lol

I'm from the Philly area and the other schools I am strongly considering are around here - I think it's going to come down to cost (which is so high for UCSF and idk if they offer merit) and if I can move so far away right now, even though it's my dream to spend at least a few years there eventually. If UCSF wows me in the info session it could definitely end up being my #1!

Did anyone have an interview with UCSF/SFSU today? Mines tomorrow. But I just wanted to see if we have to write an essay for it, since apparently previous years had to.

HI everyone,

I just wanted to update you all! I just got accepted to Western University's DPT program at Pomona campus!

I was unable to attend the UCSF information session yesterday - was there anything important that I missed?

Kinda depends. They had a q&a with people from financial aid, current professors, and with first year students. A lot of the information about financial aid could be found online. But I thought the questions people asked the students were most beneficial. I will say though that all the students talked about how accommodating finicaial aid is and how willing they are to help every student. Also, they all seemed to really enjoy the school and faculty. All good things to say.

Ahh I hope everyone's interviews with UCSF went well! I am now anxiously waiting to hear back from the interview and I'm terrified haha

The person I interviewed with said they’re shooting for by the end of the month for acceptance/denial letters!

Oooh okay! I spoke with the interview room manager and he said latest they would let us know is by Jan 15? Either way, it seems like we'll definitely know soon which is nice haha

Anyone heard back from CSU Northridge yet? I wonder when they will start sending out their acceptance offers.

When I got my confirmation email from CSUN, they said they'd be releasing decisions on Feb 26!

I am pretty sure they meant that they will release decisions by Feb 26. Releasing them on that day would be awfully late. Based on past threads they used to release decisions in late December and January. So I’m hoping we will hear something this month.

I was a little confused about the email as I wasn't sure if the acceptances will be released on or by February 26. I am hoping they release them later this month too, a lot of schools have a deadlines to put deposits down by the end of this month.

Accepted at UCSF SFSU, but torn between this and a program which is cheaper by at least 15K (Due to a scholarship), but is all the way across the country.

Was anyone else kinda bummed that in-class time is being reduced by a lot at UCSF SFSU? If I remember correctly they said it would be 1 week per month.

Also, did I hear wrong, or were they doing a virtual cadaver? I explicitly remember the students saying that they had not been into the anatomy lab at all. Not to sound morbid, but I feel I would get a better understanding of the anatomy by actually handling the body parts.

Those are my main stuck points. Any insight of what you all remember would helpful to hear.

Thanks
