Our program does something very recently introduced to be compliant c the 1 day off in 7 rule. Call schedule is Friday/Sunday or Saturday
Fr/Sun team: Hrs Friday 3 pm until Sat 6am Sunday 7am until 6pm
Rounding Call Friday 3pm until 6am Sat am Friday on call team is responsible for seing everyone in the hospital Sat am 3 resident 1,2,3/4 yr. Chief sees MFM antepartum and all service gyn or OB postpartum patients ( or cosigns if not busy). On Sunday call sees no one comes in for sign out at 7am
Sat team Hrs 6am Sat until 7 am Sunday.
Round on all patients Sun am Come in on Monday at 730am.
3 resident 1,2,3/4 yr. Chief sees MFM antepartum and all service gyn or OB postpartum patients ( or cosigns if not busy). Sees no patients on Monday comes in to start work at 730am.
There also is a short call long call during the week that is also being developed to help people have more free time off during the week
