Just watched a video at youtube with a deaF-born girl that started hearing...
I know if born blind you can't learn to see. Is it not the same with deafness?

A dead-born girl? How can she hear if she's not alive?? miso confused.

On a more serious note, I guess it is possible. I saw a couple of videos on youtube with 6 and 8 months old babies with congenital deafness that got fitted with cochlear implants and started hearing and recognizing voices. Pretty cool I have to say.

using common sense I think the deaf born girl would not understand what she was hearing, but she will sure adapt and learn the meaning of what she was hearing.
