Can I transfer to Virginia? PLEASE HELP

Hi everyone...

Does anyone have any clue as to what the statistics are for transfering to a medical school in Virginia? I just got married about 2 months ago and would like to try to move to at least the same state as my spouse...
Here's the situation:
His job is in Virginia and I'm in Ohio... I'm wondering if any of the schools in VA would even consider transfer applicants.
Do you have to be a stellar student to be considered for transferring? Also, would they take you if you're willing to repeat a year for the sake of being close to your spouse?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Maybe you should ask this is allo or osteo instead? Maybe there are students in there that know first hand and can help you out.

KyGrl had a good suggestion and I hope you try the med student forums for info. Try doing a search as well.

You might also want to email the various schools you are interested in and find out if they accept transfer students and under what conditions. By doing it through email, you can make it more of a general inquiry or even anonymous if you feel more comfortable with that.
