Can someone be accepted to western without biochem? If so, what would they have to take instead?

My friend bonita said she got accepted to western for pharmacy school but she's only been to the dallas community college district so I know she didn't take biochem. My other friend jerry is skeptical and wants to know how she got accepted without biochem.

Check their website...it should list all pre-reqs. If it doesn't, contact an advisor there and they can help you.

Good luck.

I dont think you can get in without biochem. However, Western will allow you to take an introductory biochem course from community college, and that is probably what your friend did to fulfill that requirement. If u have any questions you should email them.

No school in this cc district offers biochem. I'm gonna call em up right now.

I just searched through the course list for my district and biochem isn't offered. I also just got off the phone with western and they said there's no way to get accepted with out biochem, and even if she got lucky did get accepted, they would have checked her prereqs and revoked her acceptance.

I called my friend bonita and she's not picking up her phone.

I'm planning to apply to Western as well but I thought they required 2 Biochem classes? I'm taking those two this upcoming school year.

i think last year they allowed you to have just part one (or maybe it was part one and two) of biochemistry and take molecular biology instead of taking the rest of biochemistry which would fulfill the requirement.
