I'm a newish grad trying to stay afloat and working 3 per diem jobs. So far its been working out since I've been trying to commit to each one and I'm working ~60hr/week - which I'm ok with. However, I was just offered a full time position at one of these locations and will obviously take it. I guess a normal person would call it a day and quit the other jobs... but I'm not normal LOL. I wanted to hold onto all of them (1 would be full time and 2 per diem) because 1) I actually enjoy the variety and learning in the different settings, 2) I'd like to have backups in case **** hits the fan, 3) I have loans and 1 job is just not gonna cut it, 4) I've only been working at all three places since the summer and I would feel bad to quit only s few months in.
With that being said, does anyone know if there are requirements in terms of per diem employment at walgreens and in hospitals? I couldn't find anything about it in my offer letters and it wasn't ever really discussed with me. So far, walgreens hasn't cared about my lack of flexibility but the hospital is more strict and expects me to work a certain amount of shifts each week. I don't think they'll be ok with me limiting my availability to 1-2 days a week and I feel like they'd fire me... is that possible?
I'm assuming every hospital has a different policy and maybe even walgreens districts have different requirements so I'll have to ask my employers directly but I just wanted to get a an idea. Thanks in advance!
