How much notice do you have to give when cancelling an interview? Is two weeks enough, or is that considered rude?

How much notice do you have to give when cancelling an interview? Is two weeks enough, or is that considered rude?

Decent rule of thumb is whatever amount of time to give the residency program a chance to fit in someone else who would like that interview spot. Three weeks would seem to meet that requirement, as it gives someone a chance to get a plane ticket for a decent price.
