Hello all,
I have a concern. So ever since second semester sophomore year I have been working to raise my GPA (it was a sub 3 up until that point). I have been taking rigorous courses to raise my GPA. I have definitely taken many and still intend on taking as many "med school like classes" like Biochem, Cell Bio, Genetics, Physio, etc. but I've also taken some "easy" classes that may come off as fluff but I obviously take it because I know I can do well in them and because I have an interest in them.
If I have 10-12 med school like classes/bio electives my last two years will it be an issue (I'm applying after graduation)? I certainly am taking as many challenging courses available to me but I'm also taking classes I'm interested in to raise my overall GPA.
I intend on graduating with a 3.6ish GPA and thus far, I'm well on track. But I also realize GPA is placed into context and I don't want them to think it's that high because of fluff because I certainly took/intend on taking almost every Bio elective my school offers.
