Can't transfer podiatry schools...

Been wanting to transfer from my current podiatry school and its frustrating every school so far says more or less the same thing (haven't heard from Iowa or Kent yet)... they say you would have to retake everything as they won't recognize your courses from another institution. Can't believe I'm stuck where I'm at. What difference does it make the school if you are paying them and able to pass boards? Apparently administrative heads have egos instead of helping to be in place I feel is a better situation/fit.

Do you mind give a little back ground on why you are wanting to transfer? It is very difficult to transfer, but with a little information maybe some of us have some advice to help you succeed at your current school.

Egos, maybe. More like greed creates the impasse. Unfortunately, the bottom line is money...by admitting you with credits, the school loses out on much needed (mostly desired) income. They won't do that. If you consider the bottom line in all your dealings with the bureaucratic/for-profit machine which is higher education, it makes swallowing their BS much easier.

TUSPM last year took in 2 from Kent and they started 3rd year here. It can be done. Not sure what your who situation or deal is, so really can not offer anything much more then maybe call admissions before actually applying.
Think long and hard before transfering. Every school has their BS and oddities, make sure transfering will actually accomplish something instead of giving you the same set of issues with just different names/faces/setting

At Kent we just started someone from a California school. Came in as a third year with us. Not sure what his situation is, but like what rushrhees said, it can be done.
