Hi everyone. I was wondering how the market for CAP clinician educator was like. In my institution (where child is very well regarded), there are far less child psych faculty than general adult. I hear that there's quite high demand on CAP across the country, but it seems more on the side of community or private practice. I've read Splik's great post on clinician educator jobs, but couldn't find a clear answer to this specific question.
Would it be harder to get a clinician educator job if I go into CAP fellowship?
Also, is it possible to practice both general and child in academic institutions? I've never seen any faculty doing this (seen some doing child private practice and inpatient adult in academic setting, but not both in academic settings) - but I am interested, so would be great to know if this is a viable option.
Thanks in advance!
