I can not remember the difference between:
carbamazepine vs carbatrol vs equeto

Well carbamazepine is a generic drug, which may or may not be long acting.

Carbatrol is bioequivalent to Tegretol XR. Controlled, multidose, pharmacokinetic evaluation of two extended-release carbamazepine formulations (Carbatrol and Tegretol-XR) - PubMed

And apparently, Equeto is bioequivalent to Carbatrol. Equetro: New Name, Old Drug

So the answer is: The difference is new patents.
