I am an AMG, so I have no visa issues. The trend I have noticed is that for the most part there are a bunch of us not getting the same interviews at both top tier and middle tier programs.

Actually, what you have pointed out is more reminiscent of a reporting bias.. i think people who are posting regularly on this thread ( not me) are doing this to vent, help others etc etc. So I would not base your conclusion based on this.

However, what you have mentioned has been a lingering thought in my head for the last few days now.. But there is nothing we can do about it,can we?? I guess if there is a red flag somewhere, sometimes it may inadvertantly be mentioned during interview.

I will partially disagree with "EPADHA", sure people post to vent their frustration but this forum is designed to allow us to have a senss of which all programs have sent out interviews.

We post on a regular basis (Rejections or interviews), to make sure we have a list as complete as possible. But there are people who are mute watchers. Who just use this blog for leaching info without contributing anything ever!!

I agree with roxid, I think most are wanting to just keep a running record of who's inviting or rejecting.

Each year its getting worse. As a PGY- 2 I had 4 interviews and as a PGY-3 with more publications - I just had rejections so far. This is frustrating.

University of Maryland Rejected me twice this year....1st in december and again today!!
I guess they are trying to make sure I understand what rejection means!!

That's horrible. This whole process stinks as it is, however when they start rubbing it in your face I mean its just not right. I know if it were me, and I got a repeat email from an institution at initial glance I would think maybe they reconsidered. Sorry roxid.

Everyone is busy and programs are overloaded with applications....I believe they are also stressed out in trying to figuring out how they will get best people without taking the risk of remaining unmatched!!

IV from AEMC (Philly) on monday, also, I heard some people got Cooper in Camden, NJ.

I have heard from 7/37 programs. It sounds like most people have heard from about 25-30%. What percentage of programs do you think will just not let us know one way or the other?

Hoping the best days are yet to come...

Also, I don't know how I feel about calling places at this point about status. The whole idea makes me feel icky.

Yes!!! Still waiting on approximately 20 programs which is unbelievably frustrating. I want some closure, preferably with an invitation, but any answer will do!!

Join the club brother, I have tons of rejections and only 2 IV so far
Residency from University program, IMG with a greencard, 2 basic science papers with first author, one and a half years of basic research, good letters, scores 99/95. I am not sure whatelse I can add. Unless I go to medical school all over again. lol

I'm getting interviews to places like OHSU, U of Colorado, UCI 👍
but getting rejections from Loma Linda, UCSF Fresno, U of AZ. 👎

I will tell you whats worse. The rejection I received from UVA had the subject title: UVA Cardiology interview. Imagine my excitement at first glance, only to read the subject matter of the email and be completely deflated. This process sucks.

When you look at last years thread (fellowship app thread), it appears that some programs will only send out invites. I wish they would tell us either way. It would save us a lot of guessing... 😕

Depends on the program.some program will never communicate.
interviews call can take upto end of mrach,so wait and see and hope for the best.
