Ill try to make this brief: I have a Business degree from the University of Georgia (B.S.) and have been working for a Real Estate firm for over a year. I LOATHE it! I can't stand corporations and can't imagine working for one my entire life. So, I decided that I want to make a different approach (possibly). The bottom line is that I want to help people and right now I am doing the opposite. I feel like a skeezball salesman sometimes and I had it. I guess I have morals so I am not right for the corporate world! haha

Before going to college I was always interested in the sciences. Mainly biology and anatomy, etc. The problem was that I was an athlete in college and the most rigorous schedule ever made (literally). Since I was supposed to make my life decision at 19 (which major to go into) I decided to take the easy way out and go to business/economics. I never enjoyed it, but always seemed to find myself forcing interest in the subjects because I thought that this is what your supposed to do.

Now I am almost 24 and am thining about pharm school. Maaaaybe DPT school just because I love sports! I have always had a fascination with drugs and how they work, etc. I would ideally want to be an Orthopedic dr but I dont want to go to school until I am 35! I also want to have a life and a lot of time for a family.

All in all, can anyone give me any advice per this decision? It is a huge decision and I would like to make it soon! I have to go back to take a few post-bacc sciences that I never took in undergrad.

Thanks in advance!

Whatever you decide, go for it.

Keep in mind that if you loathe working for corporations, becoming a community pharmacist (if you choose to do so) in most cases will have you working for the big boys (CVS/Wags)... of course you will have your share of helping people, but at the same time you are also pushed to maximize profits with the bs policies that the corporate chains have you do...

imo pharmacy is a great profession but obviously not without its flaws (red tape being the biggest thing)
