Possibly...its not really clear yet...but if I do I will check in and post a picture or two. I will have tons of pictures to share when I get back so y'all can see what a pharmacist does out in the field!

You will have internet access. I have a really good friend over there and I get e-mail from him every week as well as Facebook updates. He is deployed with the 82nd.

It is also really easy to send care packages. Good idea for everyone on here to support one of our own. All you have to do is fill out a customs declaration form and ship it. APO addresses ship out of New York so that is all you have to pay for the shipping is to New York.

It will be a good experience. No early Vicodin refills for the Taliban!!!!

I just got an e-mail from my buddy. Apparently you get R+R half way through your tour. Something to look forward to I guess.

Oh wow...Be safe while you're deployed. Don't step on any mines, avoid the suicide bombers, and to paraphrase Mountain, no Vicodin for the Taliban.

I hope you return safely!

If you get into a tight spot, just remember...just forget your training and ask yourself "what would Mike do?" 23 hours later when you single-handedly win the war, you'll thank me.

I leave this saturday for my "vacation"/deployment. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I will post periodically on SDN when I can. I'm sure this experience is going to be very interesting!

God speed.....

Stay safe. We'll be looking forward to your return.

Do you have to have a specific address to send one to? I'd like to send one but I don't have the person's APO address. I'm assuming you know much more on the subject of how to send APO mail than I. 👍
