How would it look to med schools if I transferred from a community college to a university (finish up my psych degree and the gen chem series) and go to extension or community college and finish up rest of pre meds?
Does it matter as long as I keep my GPA high?

I'm sticking with the uni for post-bac because of my ridiculously low gpa. At this point, I don't want anything the least bit questionable on my application. If you have the financial resources I would go to a university. That's just my personal opinion. There are many others on this board much more informed than myself who may offer a better insight.

if I don't though would it be a strike against me
I do think that it will look worse if you complete pre-reqs at a CC over a university. That's not to say that people don't do that all the time, they do, and many of them are successful. But it always looks better (more rigorous) if you complete your courses at a university, and going from a CC to a university and then back to a CC, unless it's for financial reasons, looks kind of silly .

But it could potentially work to get in a med school in the US? If I do well in my classes

If you are considering osteopathic programs, it won't be a problem for them. I speak as someone that did 100% CC post-bacc.

Financial reasons , plus I can graduate early from undergrad and go to CC
