Ccom vs mucom

Background: interest in ENT, ophthalmology, and Derm.I’m a career changer with strong ties to one of the above fields. I’m between CCOM and MUCOM. I know for these competitive fields, it will be hard as a DO but not impossible. Wondering if I will be better set for matching to a program in the above fields at CCOM and if so, Is the tuition at CCOM worth it?

MUCOM
Pros:
Close to home/ family
Cheaper tuition
Cons:
Not many ophthalmology matches, some Derms matches.

Ccom
Pros:
Great rotation sites
Chi town
More established school- Historically matches a couple ophtho and ent
Would like to match into residency in IL eventually

Cons:
Very expensive
Far from home

No the tuition is not worth it at CCOM in this case. If you have strong ties in one of the those fields already, that will be much more useful.

MUCOM, both are fine schools so just choose the cheaper one.
