I am taking Bio 1 and we need to be able to recognize on the picture cell organelles and give descriptions of their functions.
Is there any mnemonics or some hints to memorize it?
I have no problem to recognize chloroplast, and I know that there is photosynthesys there.
But the rest... is confusing....
I always confuse peroxisomes and lysosomes and vesicles - they all look the same (and vacuoles in animal cells look like those things) 🙁

And what are their functions?
ok Mitohondria- ATP
ribosomes- produse protein, but the rest is so confusing 🙁

I'm not a big fan of memorization. Try to understand why an organelle is there and what it's function is overall in the cell. That being said, there is a modicum of memorization that cannot be avoided. However, understand what goes on first. There are plenty of intro books that do a good job of this.
