CFA certification?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I think you are referring to a Chartered financial analyst.

Its like a CPA.....no schooling necessary but its series of 3 tests usually over 3 years.....NOT A SMALL FEAT!

Plus I have heard that the pass rate for step 1 is 30%.

There are courses however, that can teach you the necessary skills that employers are looking for ...whom require CFA.

PM me if you want.

My brother is currently working on his CFA, so my knowledge only comes from what he has told me. According to him, you'll need to take take 3 exams and have 4 years of work experience in the finance/investment field (the work requirement was recently increased from three years). There is no required educational background to get a CFA, although some very expensive private classes are offered. I'll ask him more about the process the next time I talk to him. Here's the Wikipedia article to get an introduction.
