How long does it take to go through all of the videos, take notes and do the all questions?

Depends on your current level or preparation and how detailed your notes are. I believe to watch all of the videos on fast mode without pauses, the GC videos are a touch over 10 hours, and the OC videos are around 11 hours. This is not including the time necessary to do the quizzes (about 180 GC questions and 85 OC questions). I never pause to take notes, but some do, so that'd add some time. So I'd estimate for a first time through watching on fast mode, it'd take about 14-15 hours to do everything for each section. Subsequent times through you can skip what you're solid on and can cut a significant chunk of that time down.

Im doing CHADS right now, you should spend at least 5 hours a day going through about 5-6 videos (thats including taking notes, internalizing, and going over his quizzes). If you watch them patiently the first time around you wont have to come back again. His videos are intersting and really helpful so just try to spend a few hours each day.

Just a tip: you can save money by taking good notes the first time you watch the videos. Then you can just purchase a single month's subscription, finish all of the videos, and then look back at your notes whenever you need to.

Good luck!

It took me 4 days total for gen and organic. That included notes and quizzes. They were pretty long days overall, just bc you're stuck to the screen.

16 hours or so for gen chem for just the vids (if you watch everyone) the quizzes are pretty short so maybe 1-2 more hours on that, you can crank it out in 1-2 days depending how hard you go and your background in chem.

Thanks for the replies.

Did anyone here use Chad's videos as their only resource for the chemistry section?

I just watched the first video - which is free - and thought that it was not enough. He does a good job explaining the concepts, but he doesn't provide enough information on the topic.

Used Chad's and destroyer which is only questions but, Chad's is definitely in-depth enough for the DAT. It just doesn't feel in-depth enough because you're also probably studying bio too which literally has 10x more info and requires far more time to learn.

I used Chad as my only resource for GC, I didn't get time to finish OC, I went half way maybe. I ended up with a 26 in GC, and I didn't guess any questions, I actually knew the concept, I was unsure about 2 questions in the end. Chad is probably the best Chem resource out there.

DAT Destroyer is way harder than Chad's. If I could only go go through one of them a 2nd time, not sure which one would be more worthwhile doing.

Which practice tests are closest in difficulty level to the real thing for GC/OC? Topscore?

Go through Chad's once, taking notes, etc. Then do as many problems (referencing your notes when needed). Destroyer OC is overkill but prepares you well. Destroyer GC is on the money.
