I am applying this 2019-2020 cycle.
I am a Washington Resident.
I have 3.51 sGPA and cGPA. First 2 years were 2.70, last 3 years were 3.97 combined (upward trend).
My DAT scores are: 24AA, 23TS, 23PAT. RC 19, BIO25, CHEM24, OCHEM22, QR30

- 200+ Shadowing hours at GD offices, Ortho, Endo, OMFS.
- 2 dental service trips
- 1.5 years of research (1 summer internship with publication + 1 year of biochem research with a presentation award)
- Employments as ski instructor, tutor in college, orientation leader
- Volunteer teaching disabled kids skiing...and other miscellaneous ECs

What do you think about these schools:
- Columbia
- UPenn
- UCLA
- OHSU
- UW
- UCSF
- UMichigan
- UOP
- U of Utah
- Case Western
- NYU
- BU
- Colorado

I am also thinking about:
- Pittsburgh
- VCU
- Louisville
- U of Maryland
- Creighton
- Indiana University
- Tufts
- UNE

Thanks everyone in advance!!

With your strong upward trend in GPA and very high DAT and solid EC's, you should be fine for just about all of those schools. I'd remove criminally expensive schools like NYU and BU and look into schools that are somewhat OOS friendly and give in state tuition after a year. UW seems pretty expensive, even for instate, so you might find that another school giving you in state after a year could be cheaper.

UCLA and UCSF are extremely tough for OOS applicants

Take out UCLA (favors instate), BU, NYU (expensive and super-crowded)
Add Pitt and Maryland. Those are good programs.
