So I submitted my AADSAS around August 20th. My DAT scores are:

TS: 20
AA: 21
PAT: 28

My gpa is 3.6 and s.gpa is 3.37. What really hurt my science gpa is my 1st organic chem score. I got a D. However, I retook the class and got an A and an A in the ochem 2. Additionally I've made As in my science classes since then, but there's no hope in bringing my gpa up any further.

Will dental schools take into account a bad grade?? And will it severely hurt my chances?

I'm hoping to get into UNC, Columbia, UF, or LSU

Thanks for any input

You will get in. Use Predents.com to get more info on the school of your choice.

Is it normal for a school to allow a student to retake a course...?
great DAT scores, very jealous

You've definitely showed improvement in your later science scores, and looking at your DAT score, you've learned. The schools you're applying to will notice this.

I think you have a good chance.

If it is a req then they either let them retake the course so they can finish the degree requirements or kick them out of the school.
