Chances

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
My guess would be no ortho or endo residency would take you. Luckily you’re in dental school, so going straight into practice is an option.

So there is no way of showing that this was a one time mistake on top of all of my other accomplishments and there was a lot of positive that came out of it and I am completely out of luck? What is your main reasoning? Thank you for your response. I noted that you are taking the CBSE. I originally wanted to go into Oral surgery and scored fairly high. Any insight that you may want please just let me know. It is a challenging test and perfectly doable.

I’m applying this cycle to OMS. I scored quite well, but I appreciate the willingness to help.

Ortho and Endo are very competitive specialities. They have an abundance of “clean record” applicants to chose from. Answering yes to a previous record of academic discipline puts your application automatically in the trash pile. Maybe Endo would take you after a couple of years of job experience.
