hey everybody!! i am currently a pgy1 in a family program that is great, but it really doesn't fit i have decided with my career goals, and i would like to relocate to be nearer my family. how hard is that to do. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Shouldn't be too difficult, call/email the PD's of programs of interest and explain things. I'd keep it under wraps with your program until late in the game. You could really hurt yourself if things don't go as planned.
yup, keep it under wraps. do things silently, but most directors will ask that you infor your PD before they grant you an interview. so play your cards carefully.
