My dad was injured during his service in the Navy so the chapter 35 veteran's dependent benefits has been paying 95% of my tuition throughout undergrad. I called the VA office and they said that it could still apply to a public medical school (which I am going to attend) until I am 26.

However mixed sources have told me the benefits stop if
1) I attend professional school
2) or received 45 months of benefits (I did this in undergrad).

I especially question the viability of the benefits since my undergrad tuition was only $3000 but med school will cost $17000. If any one can enlighten me about the validity of the benefits your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Also, you will always get the same amount of benefits, regardless of how much tuition is (unless cost of education is less than the benefits perhaps). I don't know how you receive your benefits, but I receive mine on a monthly basis, or $915 a month, and I started getting them Senior year of undergrad, so they will stop sometime during my 4th year of medical school, when the 45 months are up.
