Choose PGY1 site

Hi,

I need advice from you guys. I am choosing the PGY1 hospital. Should I choose the hospital offer more position or less position? Which one will I have more chance to get accepted?

Do you know any states less competitive ???

From my experience, the number of positions does not really correlate with how competitive a program is. I would say that it's not the best idea to apply to a program with only one position, as it's nice to have co-residents to interact with, certainly makes the year easier to get through.
