I'm about to graduate high school and I was never really interested in Dentistry until recently. I just want to know how becoming one works, and is it really worth it?

Do well in school. Take the DAT and do well on it. Do shadowing hours at a dentist office. Volunteer and be an upstanding citizen of society.

-Oh and don't commit until you do more research.

Totally worth it, but only if you truly love it. Go to college, don't have to major in a scene, just take your BCPs and do well in them, take a lot of extracurriculars, maintain a 3.5+ GPA, and average around 20 on each part of the DAT and you're golden. And the most important part is really to shadow and see if it's a fit for you and if you would actually enjoy being a dentist. And yes dentist are compensated very well, not like they use to be, but still a great amount.
