Cite Sources in Supplemental?

Hey everyone!
I'm working on the Penn Dental Supplemental application right now. One of the questions asks, What do you think are or will be the greatest challenges facing dentistry ? I talked about limited access to dental care (even though I'm sure 1000 other ppl will talk about that, but i really do belive it is the biggest problem in dentistry). I had to do a little bit of research to make my point more convincing, but I wasnt sure how to cite the sources that I used. Do I even have to cite any sources? If so, how do I go about it?
 
I do not think you need to cite your sources in a supplemental. If you absolutely must, then perhaps some form of citation in-line would work best, parenthetical citations, to emphasize while paraphrasing or something you could add in an in-text attribution as well if you wanted to.

Harvard style works well for this

Though because you are only answering a short answer question, and the citation thing is kind of an extra, you probably do not need to add a reference list at the end.
