Class of 2013!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Basketball used to be my obsession in high school (a little weird coming from a soccer player then) but I moved onto both pro and college football in college. After seeing the refs carry Dwyane Wade and the Heat against the Mavs a few years back, I got pretty disgusted with the NBA so I've stopped watching for the most part. Now that I have time in the evenings after work, I'll watch games with my roommates (one is a huuuuuuge Celtics fan and I think he's having multiple strokes watching the series).

Y'know, we should have a SDN fantasy football league this fall..

You just loved Madison and UW that much, did ya? 😛

SDN FF fo sure.

dayne was good but oline did a lot of the job. same for michael bennet, neither did much in nfl.

my fav badger will always be evans. dude was so good. I will never forget the game when I watched him tear up MSU, I watched it at camp randall, place was goin wild by third quarter. evans had 5 TD's and like 300 yards in 3 quarters.

4 more pages to write before noon. Only gonna get to sleep 5 hours 🙁

good morning everyone 🙂
mr. ar and I may be going to our final apartment viewing today. we need to measure that studio we loved and see if it will fit all our crap and maybe see another place or two.
all this after work of course.. lol

how is everyone?

oh wow come august not only will i start medical school but i wll be a 2-year member of sdn!

I have a refractory period after tests where I am unable to do anything productive.

I have my refractory periods until approximately 5 hours prior to tests. Then I start crammin'

:laugh: Yeah, I have both those refractory periods.

:cry::cry:
I need alcohol

Oh nos! What happened? 🙁

The lady I nanny for is an OB-GYN, and she is constantly encouraging me to call. And I am a very outgoing individual, I feel very comfortable in conversation with strangers, but the thought makes me anxious. But finally I wrote out some ok things to say on some post-its, and decided hey, it's worth a shot. So I called today and the dean was out during her clinics, so I left my name and number. I was sooo relieved, lol. So if she doesn't call back after a week, I'll have to gather the courage again.....

Maybe I'll grow a pair and do that today (except not actually grow a pair because that'd be... well, freaking weird). I actually did call and leave me name and number way back in the beginning for one of the schools, but then she traveled and never got back to me. 🙁

Oh! My gummi bears are in! But I haven't opened them yet because I haven't been in the mood to eat them. :laugh: I think I'll open them up and take over a portion when I hang out with my friends tonight.

I'm withdrawing from some schools today, too. I'm just going to take the plunge & decline everyone but Cornell. it's kind of a scary thought.

Chuck, I hope my Pitt acceptance goes to you!

Good Morning everyone, very little sleep last night so today should be interesting.

In response to the above post...
#1 SDN FF, count me in
#2 Dayne was a beast with the Badgers, but you're definitely correct that the o-line had much to do with that success.
#3 Evans was the man, he was a senior when I was a freshman. His 10 catches for 258 yards and 5 touchdowns, was one of the most exciting sport moments of my life.
#4 Since I only got one year of Evans, my favorite Badger had to be Errasmus James. He was such a beast and lead all the video cheers during the games. If not for the injury problems he could have had an amazing pro career but alas he knee just would not cooperate.

Why is it that I always feel I'm the only person that follows hockey anymore? Its waaaay more interesting than basketball.

sup, slept in a little today but luckily not much is going on at work today. just have to withdraw from case and other boring stuff.

Good luck with those guys. I bet if feels good, to hand them a rejection. The tables have turned, med schools beware.:meanie:

I'm not white so I can't watch hockey :laugh: I kid I kid... no seriously hockey & nascar are the two sports I can't watch without wanting to gouge my eyes out.... with golf possibly sneaking into the top 3

Oh you are not alone, I'm from hockey country Minnesota, sadly my Wild just did not make the cut this year.

I actually hate it. I guess because I worked so hard to get it & i really didn't think I would be accepted anywhere... so it's hard to let go. Plus I'm the queen of indecisive

But hockey is actually exciting, unlike nascar (which is NOT a sport)

Good point! That definitely trumps everything else.

hangover? I dont drink. drank, or Drunk
:laugh::laugh: Yeah, okay.

Golf and Nascar don't count as sports, IMO. Especially Nascar. Hockey is on an entirely different level...and there's fights 👍

:laugh::laugh: Yeah, okay.

Better yet, they actually let the fights play out. And no one flops, which may be the single most annoying thing is professional sports. Beat that basketball.
Golf is a sport.

awww it's spring. Love is in the air 😍 so many internet lovers around. This thread has created many SDN relationships :laugh:

Spring is the best. I'm still working to fully capture Myuu's affection, but I have high hopes.

Technically, yes. Albeit not a very good one 😛

Bottom-top maybe? SCORE!

Making top on this thread should also be considered a sport.

Why, hello there.

Good luck with that. The Thunderdome knows no mercy.

Nor do I expect or want any. As with all the greatest love stories, we are up against impossible odds. But we will prevail, oh yes, we will prevail.
