I feel like we are getting pushed out by the 2014 crowd... come August we need to invade Allo

haha, well at least there is no Class of 2014 thread yet.

Meanwhile this thread has been around for 5+ years

I never figured out why the OP started this thing in 2003 (too lazy to start reading the whole thing) 😛

haha, that 2003 thread only had like 3 or 4 posts on it. It was merged with the current thread, which was started by BD2B in January of last year. I too found it very amusing that someone made a 2013 thread so long ago. In related news, I went to my high school's playoff game, and i say what had to have been a 1st or 2nd grader with a replica letterman's jacket that had "2016" on the sleeve. Too funny.

Wow😱

But in the same aspect, I was running and the nearby cross country or track team was also running, and they were all so tiny... I think they were probably 5 feet tall or something... it was so weird... were we that tiny when we were highschoolers?

Not me! I was born full grown 😉

Owww... I am teething again... my 4th wisdom tooth is coming out...😡

is anybody worried that we will be graduating in 2013? Seems like an unlucky thing to me and I will most likely spend a year getting another degree or doing some research. Yea yea call me superstitious but I just don't like the way 2013 looks as opposed to say 2014, or 2016.

wait, are you taking time off just because of the 13?? I never thought of it...I think superstitions are kinda silly. Unless you're talking about all the ones I follow 😉

Actually I do have an interest in getting an MBA as well.. I figure with declining reimbursements and lukewarm prospects for the field of medicine I will have to come up with some business savvy to make par with the physicians salaries of today. Kills two birds with one stone.

Well, I graduated college in 2007 so I'm hoping that evens things out.

There was a couple from my undergrad that got married and had a kid. The school put up a picture on the front page of the little infant in a shirt that said "[school] Class of 2027."

You know what always kind of annoyed me? When buildings have floor numbers that go from 12 to 14 and skip the 13th floor entirely because of this superstition. I never thought it would be significant enough that people would start planning their lives AROUND their fear of the number 13.

i think in some parts of asia, they skip the 4th floor too...homophone for "death." 😛

Haha! Yes! That is why I love Puerto Ricans/Latinos in general lol. I think my g/f was told to put a bowl of water underneath her bed when she had a headache or cramps...or something ridiculous like that. You gotta love all of that voo-doo type mess. lol

<---AZNb0y (I know all about this superstition) 😛

When my parents came with me to buy my car last year, they specifically requested a license plate with no 4's in it. My brother bought an apartment (#414 in the building) and they were freaking out, lol.

I have a pretty diverse group of friends and we all celebrated together for new years. It was so funny when we were nearing midnight everybody did all of the different traditions each of our families does for new years. we were banging pots, throwing champagne, poppin bottles. so funny

So this is totally random but I figured since I'm apart of the cool CLASS OF 2013 I can spill my randomness here 🙂 So I watched a movie called "The Paper Chase" and it's basically about first year law students and the hell they had to go through. Ok I know that law school and med school have their obvious differences but in many ways I think we all go through the same torturous hell with crazy professors and late-night studying sessions that make you contemplate suicide, lol. Anyways I HIGHLY recommend everyone check this movie out! They have it on NetFlix if ur interested! 👍

 so did I!

The birdie is back! Oh and CRB ad Berk... I hate you... I have two sets... and they are very painful, and considering I have a big mouth, there is not reason to take them out....

haha believe me it's better. My wisdom teeth did not hurt that badly when they came out. However, pulling the teeth out was one of the worst experiences of my life.

nvm Got it figured out.

Hey hey bird! Welcome back!

Wisdom teeth = not a cool experience. Mine were awful... i ended up in the hospital for 3 weeks after. Oral Surg. didn't suction well during surgery, I got aspiration pneumonia... bad bad deal.

Wow, FAFSA stinks.

On-campus or off-campus housing? 😕😕

What if you don't know for sure?

Hm, I'd put off-campus. I'd assume you'd be allotted more for off-campus housing as it's usually more expensive.

Yes, FAFSA is awful. Is this your first time? (It'll be my.... 7th year filling the idiot thing out)

Thanks for the advice regarding housing. I hope I can change this later if I find out differently about where I'll be living. Looks like I'll be calling some schools on Monday.

Yeah, I had good undergraduate aid. And at that time my parents were working. Now no one is working 🙁 And I have no aid.

And there are at least two entries that seem like they would apply for Mayo (Mayo Clinic College of Medicine or Mayo Medical School??)

Good Day everyone!

I have to admit...all your talk about wisdom teeth has me a little scared :scared:

Time to fill out the ol FAFSA. Everyone's listing their parent's info right?

I listed my mom's info, but I have to do the need access application too which is a huge pain in the butt with questions like "What is your earned income in 2009". I am a college student who has worked odd jobs his whole life, how am I supposed to estimate how much money I will earn for the NEXT year?

i sure am.. although im not going to do the fafsa for a bit. still waiting on a stupid form that makes me pay $1400 in taxes every year even though i onyl make like $3000.
apparently college housing is a non educational expense and even though finaid covers my housing costs, i need to pay taxes from them, state and federal. so i basically get screwed every f*cking year

Wow, seriously? That's ridiculous. I guess when all else fails, just estimate low! 😉
