I didn't have a Hepatitis A vaccine for my trip to Nicaragua (which they didn't tell me I needed until now, even though it takes 2-4 weeks to become effective once injected 😡)- which means I'm going to have to be REALLY careful down there so I don't contract it. 🙁

light beers<dark beer<jack/johnny coke=gin & tonic=tequila. I'm sure it does help, though it would be funny having a JD in the class of 2013...appletinis:laugh:
 
I think I'm more of a RBV person when I go out, but I enjoy a lot of different types of drinks. I like margaritas too, there are a few good places for them here.

It kind of alternates between ridiculous drought and torrential downpours; we've been mired in a drought for the last year and a half or so, but these usually somehow tend to get broken by several weeks-months where it'll rain 2-3 times/week. So it just depends on the year. We do usually get some pretty good thunderstorms in the spring, though.

Good morning! I'm pretty good today with an afternoon schedule of paperwork, gels, and three hours of photography goodness this evening. It is currently 29F, with a high of 36F.:laugh: (Note: this is alarmingly cold for the DC area in February--it was a whole 7F overnight!!)

Ooh yeah be careful about HepA. I'm sure the doctor told you it's a foodborne illness...🙁

I had a dream that Columbia sent me a letter that went something like this:

Dear pianola,

We really think that you'd make an excellent physician, a really good one. That's why we want you to start looking into UVA and UCSD -- if either of these schools accept you, you should go. They are excellent schools and we know you'd be happy there.

What we're actually trying to tell you is that you're not admitted to our class. We're sure you're going to be a great physician but you should really look at some other good schools for your training.

CHAD: Se habla espanol (sin ampersand)? Be careful in Nicaragua...Never had Hep A before, but isn't it easy to catch? Or is that B?

EDIT: I'm all TOPPED OUT for the time being. Is that bad? Someone delete a post so I don't have to assume the TOP DAWG ROLE....I mean I already know in my heart I am THE TOP DAWG...😎😉😉😛😛😉....but this TOP DAWG is tired of topping right now!

Yep... I'm probably going to resort to eating pre-packaged food and bottled water. Fortunately there's a big supermarket between the airport and the town we're going to - I'll just have to buy a bunch of stuff there.

Also about that dream - that's so weird! I've been fortunate enough to be sleeping very well and not having any (positive or negative) dreams about Columbia. I think that in a way it was good for me to get so sick this past week because it's kept me distracted from the waiting!

Everytime you talk about DC, I get excited. Although coming from California, I dont know how excited I am about 20 degree weather! Haha! I am good though. Still laying in bed. Dont have to be to work until 1045am.

I applied to both and neither accepted me🙁 Stupid waitlists... that is why Texas is better😛

Ouch that sucks. Well, just try to wash your hands obsessively, and you will be fine since HepA is oral fecal route of transmission... And on second thought, maybe you should boil the bottled water and then drink it, just to be on the safe side.
 
Oh yeah, and running 1/2 a mile back from the gym in the cold rain is not fun🙁

Oh well, time to dredge the rain again... I need to get to research...
