all kinds of wild and crazy fun - i guess it sort of means we just get 2013 to show up in here and make fun of us while we post stupid pictures and talk about ourselves lol

Tri-bike I built up myself...Scattante frame, Dura Ace components, Vision bars, etc.
Road bike is a Van Dessel.
Commuter is a Little 500 single speed.

Training keeps me sane in this insane world. Its actually what my PS is going to revolve around....when I get the time to compose it.
 
lol my ps is ironically, about cycling as well haha.
 
our rate of growth is tremendous. we are beating averages and if all goes to plan, you guys will be like blockbuster and us, netflix. boom
 
also i love how any mention of 2013 brings you guys here like hawks... or crows i should say. except we are not garbage, the analogy fails.

im feeling quite good. finished making my CV. off to work on my PS. I swear i feel like i have multiple personality disover when i work on my cv..every day it turns out different =) im kind of excited for the app process to begin. the md app thing really helps..i actaully used parts of it on my cv:laugh:.
 
ive never heard this guy before but an indian dude with a southern accent? no thanks.
 
it was totally strange and foreign to me, so i considered it southern. im sure there is far more 'south' out there, but ive never heard an indian person talk like that.

i wish he wasnt indian. he is a disgrace to indians. thats my half indian side speaking. the nepali side is indifferent. lol =)

OK, so I listened to him speak again, and I guess his accent is southern-ish... but I can't tell anymore, he just sounds like a regular person to me, haha... just like I'm sure y'all don't go around thinking that all your neighbors have northern accents, they just sound normal, while I do hear northern accents easily
 
yeah i went to college in the midwest and nobody could understand me and called me a new yorker b/c i talked 100x faster than they did. i never understood that. all my new york friends in college completely understood me haha.

I'm feeling the SDN night. RHA (my student org) is putting on a program from 10-2 tonight, but it's very hands-off. So i just get to chill in our student union all night.
 
im watching the weeks worth of mad money with jim cramer on itunes to catch up and continuing to push my dvd collection to ebay for some additional funding for my grand plan(s) for total med school tuition payment domination
 
I'm bad at SDN night. Today was productive though. Draft 2 of the Personal Statement is done. But it is far from perfect. I did a lot of work for my premed committee, and I am still dreading my score release on Tuesday!!

how is he a disgrace to indians? b/c of his accent? wow...

you can't just judge him based on his accent. he is a natural born southerner after all.

haha... so on my "_______ med school strives to have a diverse atmosphere. What diversity would you bring to our school?" secondary essay, I should write that neither the North nor the South will claim me because of my accent??? I like it.

Happy early Birthday!!! March is undoubtedly the best month in which to have a birthday 😀 (mine's the 28th and I'll no longer be a teenager)
 
THANKS! i know it really is the best month for birthdays! we are so lucky hehe (or maybe march is lucky that we were born during it!!) wow thats a pretty big birthday too! im not gonna lie, i am a little jealous. but hey, at least im not turning 30 hehehe

his accent wasn't SUPER southern. it was definitely southern but i've heard worse. (or better? 🙂) my grandma, for instance... WOW. i love it.

thanks!!!! so we are supposed to get LOTS of snow tonight-tomorrow so not sure how that affects plans but my bf has a surprise night for me 🙂 Although he just bought me a beautiful gucci watch for anniversary/hannukah/valentines day lol..so i dont expect too much!! I also have midterms coming up too so all other celebrating will have to hold off until spring break!
 
hey, i hate to kill the mood, but just wanted to know where my 2014 homies are in the process. For me:

a) getting my MCAT score this week :scared:
b) Finished Draft 1 of PS; gonna cut it down a bit and get it reviewed
c)Figured out which profs i'm getting letters from; prob going to ask in late march-ish

d) hm, idk if there's anything else I should be doing right now...

nah dogg. im just saying so b/c they were discussing how old they were getting and what their boyfriends got them. i didnt have anything to add so i asked. now im reading a book on the federal reserve i got from the library. this is from the young adults section because i want the straight dope.

Do boys not talk about how old they are? And I think only one person said anything about a boyfriend... people, like me, are single and loving it. 🙂

In other news, I just took a Yoga class... it was definitely an interesting experience... haha
 
last summer i took yoga like everyday and it was surreal. it tested my limits doing minimal movement (holding a position is painful)

and no, i never talk about my age or how old i am or whatever. it just never made sense to me - im like 15 mentally anyways. im glad you are enjoying single life, im just looking forward to the death of the mcat and the emerging summer!

a) also getting MCAT scores this week
b) Finished Draft 1, got some feedback, working on Draft 2 (hopefully be done this week, but having some blockage)
c) Already asked profs, they are just waiting for me to give them a brief bio and the go ahead to begin writing
d) Relaxing and having fun till I find out if I have to retake the MCAT

Good luck to those finding out their MCAT scores this week!! It's funny, but no matter how many times you hear people saying that "you shouldn't worry about retaking the MCAT until you get your scores back"... it's in our nature as pre-meds to start planning ahead. 😉 I don't know about you, but I was deeply saddened when I got home from my MCAT and found out I couldn't register for my next attempt the same day. :laugh:

Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to comment with any questions on the site whenever you have them. I don't start school till July, so till then, I'm open to answer anything and have no excuse to NOT respond promptly. :laugh:

Oh, and to address your MDApplicants page, I'm no adcom member, but if you can have solid grades this semester at U of H and get that MCAT score you want (33+), you should definitely have a chance at the Texas schools. You have a lot of great extracurricular activities, and as I'm sure you know, the fact that you're a Texas resident helps too. 🙂

Really?

During my test to scores lag time, I wanted to puke every time I thought about the MCAT. I refused to even touch the AAMC website with a ten foot pole up until the week scores were released, and I only visited SDN occasionally to post on my MCAT club thread.

To each their own...
