So, I just realized that AMCAS changed one of my classes without letting me know that they changed it with that little circle thing. I took ENVS 4101 (Environmental Chemistry) at my school and classified it as CHEM on AMCAS. AMCAS changed it to CHEM 4101. 😕 So now it doesn't match my transcript.

I only noticed now because I'm putting my biology, chemistry, physics, and english classes into my Vandy secondary. Now, I don't know what to call it. If I call it ENVS 4101, it won't match my AMCAS, and if I call in CHEM 4101, it won't match my transcript and that's not even a class at my school.

Sigh.

Is there any space on the Vandy secondary for additional comments or something similar? You could maybe explain the situation there...
 
congrats to everyone that got vandy! just called my house and i seem to be one of the lucky ones. i just hope this is a sign that my less than great clinical experience isn't hurting me too much

thanks, and i hear ya, my "working" is doing more secondaries, which is probably just as bad

Pretty sure you don't need LORs to get an invite

yeah, i was speaking to the fact that im not complete anywhere because my school hasn't sent out my letters, even though my secondaries are done. soooo frustrating.
 
congrats ksmi (btw i would just input what amcas says. im under the impression that schools dont get a copy of your transcripts but that amcas lists all your courses and your grades for them in its own format...either way you have a 4.0 so it probably wont be a big deal) and zerial!

i have a quick question for the general population... i thought making a thread about something this trivial would be overkill.

looks black to me man. although if i peer intently enough at it, i can see the red bulb on the left. very dim though. not seeing any animation. whats it supposed to be?

Strange. It animates for me. It pulsates like once every 2 seconds or so.
 
Woke up and found that my mom has already proudly displayed my picture that was in the paper this morning. How embarrassing. If that's not embarrassing enough in itself, I'm wearing a pretty big crown in said picture. I swear, in the past year, every picture of me has either been me in my colorguard outfit or me with my crown on. I need to do some normal stuff so I don't look like such a freak.
 
Woke up and it's kind of hurricane-ey outside. I was planning on going to downtown NOLA this afternoon and just hanging out, walking around the French Quarter. I'm not sure if that will happen now. I specifically asked for today off to do that. 🙁

Ugh, I hate living at my house. Now my family is redoing the entire kitchen and today they're painting. My dad just broke something behind the refrigerator and now we have no water in the house. Of course, this is after my apt in Baton Rouge is no longer mine and I don't move into my new one until Friday. No apt in BR = no escape from home improvement.

I actually just tried some Sam Adams Blackberry Witbier last week, and it's really good. The blackberry is extremely understated (which is good) and only complements the classic Belgian Witbier taste.
It seems odd talking about beer without 0C. 🙁
 
I have a question, mostly for ksmi and anyone else who is all done with all their secondaries and is getting interview invites.... How the @#$# did you finish them all so fast???? I only have a few right now and I am working my butt off to just finish them within a couple weeks of getting them. Did you have all your essays prewritten for every school you applied to or something?!?!?!?
