my veg guy friends just eat pizza and pasta, i rarely see them eat... vegetables

haha . . . whenever i go to restaurants with people who are worried about my veg-ness they always point out the salads. "oh wow, look how many salads there are!" forget the fact that
a) salad is totally weak, and
b) at almost any restaurant, all the salads except one have chicken in them

so i order mozzarella sticks and pizza and veggie burgers . . . or i just pick out the best-looking thing on the menu and get it without meat. like fajitas. yum.

We need Mary Lennox to send some cheese curds our yay.

haha . . . I am actually not from Wisconsin. but i'm close enough to have purchased cheese curds a few times in my life.

I also have a weird thing about craving taste of hot dogs every once in a while...the meatless ones are AWESOME!

So i am from/ live in Chicago, so prior to giving up meat my favorites were chicago-style hotdogs (mmmmmmm) and also gyros. boy, do i miss those two. and hot wings . . . but fake chicken is good enough to cover in hot sauce and ranch. so far, no good substitute for gyros 🙁

i interviewed at UIC in October and haven't gotten a decision yet either. thats just how some schools are i guess- they live to torture

Well, I do love Loyola and Tulane's awesome too, if it weren't so damn expensive. But I actually liked Norfolk because it wasn't too big or too small, it's close to the beach, and I know people there.

Actually, you are right about this. I wanted to apply to EVMS for that very reason! I wish I had. I was going to, but when I realized my school list was bigger than my budget, it was one of the ones I cut. I was going to add it later but never did. 🙁

as much as i love Rush, there's a part of me that's very depressed knowing I am in for at least 4 more years of ice and snow and being landlocked. my new plan is to apply for residency spots in Cali, Fl, Texas . . . 😀

My bf cooks his meat....but since we've been together he has cut out all meat expect chicken (and we're working on that 🙂).

haha . . . mine occasionally announces to me that he wants to go veg too. i just say 'ok whatever' and wait for him to forget about it. i don't encourage it . . . he's so skinny, if he stopped eating meat he might just evaporate altogether! although i would love it if he would learn to COOK vegetarian for me.

Morocco. Very meat centered food culture. My friend (the ex vegan one lol) is there and I am rather worried for her.

i was in marrakech about a year ago, and I found it to be relatively veg. friendly. i'm not a vegetarian myself, but they are way into salads and rice.

Have you told him this? Because I guarantee, if you haven't, this isn't the sort of thing a guy will routinely think of on his own. Yes, occasionally, our brilliance might shine forth and we might stumble upon the great idea of EXACTLY what you were hoping for all on our own--and obviously, that's far more impressive, and we love it when we nail something exactly how you were hoping just as much as you do 😛--but 9 times out of 10, no such luck 🙁

ha, no, our 'breakup' only lasted for about 24 hours. i think aliens* implanted special magnets in our brains that make us unable to stay apart no matter how mad we (i) get.

we'll see how M1 year goes. If he can handle that without too much drama and ****, he'll probably be good for the long haul. 😳

i haven't been to copenhagen but i would generally agree with the order of the other 3. but i think d dub was talking pretty much about cost of rent per square feet, and manhattan is ridiculously expensive for what you get.


as far as food, i think nyc is pretty cheap because of the small business competition

if you are going to go, i would go in late june, early july. there's a MASSIVE music festival called roskilde, the sun barely goes down, and the weather is good. the winter is pretty ****ty.

danes are among the nicest, most hospitable people i've ever met. everyone is fluent in english, almost no poverty. it's like a fairy tale. oh, and danish girls are beautiful.

i couldn't live there for too long though. 6 months was pushing it for someone from a big city. the whole country is like 5 million.

I think there are usually a few people who want spots that don't get one, but I'm not sure how many But obviously, free is good 😀 I think it's worth holding out for just in case.

F@%&! he said he would call me 'within 24 hours' if he wanted to offer me a position . . . it seems like if he wanted to offer me a position he would have done it. crap!!

i emailed my grad programs' secretary and asked her if i could be taken off the site . . . otherwise i might never get a job
