Wait till you have to interview real patients...😱

We went to the psych ward and were interviewing patients in groups of 4 (one person doing it, 3 ppl watching) and our guy got this normal 22 y/o looking dude who told us he was depressed that his g/f broke up with him etc, looked like a normal depression case, nothing big... so the student is going through all the normal interview questions, getting normal responses for anything, until he asked "have you ever thought about harming anyone?" then the guy's eyes just lit up and got really wide, and he said, like totally matter of factly, "When I think people are making fun of me, I punch them in the face until they stop moving." Apparently he was in the ward for assaulting his boss after he walked in an area he'd just swept, making it dirty, and he thought he did it on purpose...

With the amount they want my parents to give, it more than covers the CoA, so they only offered me the 8500 in sub stafford.

FWIW, they haven't told me that my package is available, so maybe it's not right.

clock wise but i can see it counter too. i dont know if i can switch it without looking up or down. at one time it would flip every time i rolled my eyes up or down

ok i just made it turn the other way in my brain by just saying turn the other way over and over. it looks like she gets lazy, slows down and the leg is dropping at lower angles until it finally turns the other way

FWIW, $8500 is the maximum amount of sub. stafford that one can receive per year.

Why is the UPS Store closed on Saturdays? :bang:

Now I can't ship this guitar until Monday. I blame the buyer, though, because he didn't pay for the guitar until Thursday (auction ended Sunday) and I was waaaay too busy Thursday and Friday to ship it. If he would have paid earlier, he would have it by now.
 
anybody know of some good private scholarships other than from fastweb.org? things are looking pretty loan-heavy next year... as is normal, I suppose, but I'd love to be able to supplement that with some grants/scholarships (aka free monies!)

Anyone know how I can sign my 'Master Promissory Note' (MPN)? Me not signing it is an 'unsatisfied' portion of my fin aid according to Jeff's website. I keep getting directed here but there is no place to sign in and it just tells me "What I will need" while filling it out.

Okay cool...but where do I actually fill it out? If anyone has a clue/went through this already...let me know..thanks!

It's on your FAFSA website login page. Log in there, and find the MPN thing and fill it out.

That sounds like a screw up. I didn't think they were even supposed to use parental income to calculate EFC for grad students.

That's what I thought. My EFC was zero and I think almost everyone who has just been in college and never worked full-time for years has an EFC of zero.

I like it! Another good selection of study music is TV on the Radio and The Shins. Have you heard of either of those bands?
