Class of 2015... How ya doing?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
... or more like c/o 2016 is freaking psycho. They're well beyond c/o any class year at this point...

Haha. They are a talkative bunch.

I don't hate year 2 as much as I hated year one, but I REALLY hated year one. Anatomy lab was the soul-suckingest place in the world as far as I'm concerned.

I have done well on a couple exams and very 'meh' on a couple others, but I did bad enough last year that it would take more than THAT to say it was my worst exam to date. Lol. I set the bar pretty low. Also, there was one practical in 2nd semester anatomy that literally made me want to throw my clipboard across the room, scream, and storm out. It was that bad. Like really.

LIS, I will wallow with you in post-systemic path self pity.

And the only reason we get a weekend off is because of the change in classes two weeks. Yaaaay.

Also, is coverall bar crawl what I think it is?

And parasit right after that. And oh yeah THAT one is going to be a joy.
.
Honestly if I see a worm anywhere in W. Philly the next week I am gonna stomp it so hard, its innards are gonna end up in china.

Send me to jail for animal cruelty, I don't care. Those worms were CRUEL to me.

Oh look I haven't been on SDN in forever. Scb44f has summed up my life pretty well though, since ours are basically the same.

I just really want to go to a corn maze. Is that so much to ask?

I'm not sure what you think it is. 🙂 It's a vet school bar crawl with everyone in their barn coveralls. 🙂

Lol that's what I thought, but I too am hoping these are washed

We can go!! The one off of 70 is a lot of fun! I haven't checked out this year's design yet though.

haha I know this has been posted before, but this made me think of this

I just want to point out that c/o of 2015 is lame!

c/o 2016 thread already has more than 50% more posts than us.

I am going to have to get y'all to be more talkative!

I'm certain there is an inverse relationship between your years in vet school and your SDN posting. C/O 2014 has practically fallen off the map...

Oh look I haven't been on SDN in forever.

Creepy story...I was actually thinking about you the other day, wondering, "What happened to Breenie?!" Glad you're alive!

I actually like second year a heck of a lot better than first. I kind of love pharm and bacteriology. Virology makes me want to cry and diagnostic imaging is boring, but can't win 'em all. Also, found out yesterday that we have a diagnostic imaging midterm on Monday. Guess I know what I'm doing this weekend!

i think lissarae and i are holding the fort down for all of you 3rd year slackers.

Oooh buuuurn!

Parasitology test today... Straight up didn't answer a question and changed two from right to wrong answers. Effff.

Studying virology now while my husband plays the original Ratchet and Clank for the first time, complaining about this, that and the other thing that they did wrong while designing it. And now the 50 lb dog is essentially on my lap because she is super sensitive to people being upset.

It is too early in the semester for me to be this apathetic. Somebody yell at me, please.

Micro tomorrow, Pharm Wednesday, Clin Path on Friday. Plus we have classes and labs. Really glad I did well on my first Pharm test because this one I think I'm going to crash and burn on. 100+ drugs, names, classification, MOA, side effects, contraindications...you have GOT to be kidding me.

whats your pharm topic for the exam? we're covering eyes, respiratory tract, and cardio pharm for our exam this week and for some reason cardio pharm just doesn't want to stick anywhere in brain. :annoyed: i did better when i had 100+ antibiotics to memorize!!

good luck!!:luck:

You didn't even have SDN as an excuse, that was 3 full hours you could have used...

I didn't study either....
.... MrsSOV got the flu and asked me to come take her home to recuperate.
First attempt at going was unsuccessful as the truck battery went kaput.
Then rode my motorcycle to princeton (with a recently fixed flat)..
Helped clean up her apartment... .and took her home.....
Had dinner. Was exhausted and went to sleep.

Yes, complete study fail, but 👍 on the husbanding side.

This is why I never can and never will be able to study as much as my single, unattached, classmates who live in one room with no vehicles. Fewer things and fewer attachments = fewer distractions and lost time.

I hope Mrs SOV is feeling better soon! 🙂

I'm beginning to see why I miss a lot of things on this forum. #1 - too busy to check as often and #2 - there are secret ways to hide things in fonts that can only bee seen when highlighted! 'cuz I'm all impressed with this! 😉

I have learned to tip my laptop screen back a little bit, it tends to light up the white writing... 😉

I didn't notice it until it was quoted. That is a common lounge trick.

personally I would never ever do something like that.

I love microbiology?
Ha ha. not really, but it isn't as bad as parasitology, that is for sure.

Thanks.

 Love it! and now I have to highlight every message I ever read on here, lol

Did you know it's not visible on the phone. Even when title. Haha have to quote to be able to read it.

Yup. I had three exams last week. I have our neuropharm final Tuesday. The neuropharm final? That's it for your grade for the class. One exam, one grade. No pressure.

And this weekend my son was on me to play Avengers on the xbox with him. We've been steadily working our way through it, and I had been putting him off because of those three exams. But I couldn't any more.

So my classmates are all done with their study guides, already on their third pass through the material, etc. Me... I'm still only halfway through my first pass.

I've just decided to be ok with it. So long as I can pass, I don't give a damn anymore.

My class has a parasitology lab tomorrow where we get to bring in a sample from one of our pets to run a variety of heartworm tests on. I had a classmate restrain my dog and I got the cephalic vein on the first hit with no problems! I've only drawn blood on dogs a couple of times before, and 2 of those times were from the jugular. Small accomplishment, but it was still a good feeling.

Unfortunately next week is finals week so my feelings are back to wanting to eat everything in the house while watching Netflix. It doesn't help that season 2 of The Walking Dead was just made available for online streaming and I've been dying to watch it. My last horseback riding lesson went well also, and I really want to have another one soon, but I'm afraid my grades cannot afford that at the moment.

So ready for this block to be over.
