Yeah the first time he did a show at my school in 2007 it was awesome. I had tickets to see him a 3rd time but I ended up selling them b/c I had a test the next morning I had to study for, lame. I really like comedy shows, it is hard to put a price on laughing for 2 hours straight. I've seen Katt (x2), Russel Peters (x2), George Lopez (x2), Ralphie May, Cedric the Entertainer, DL Hughley, Carlos Mencia, Dan Cook, Dave Attell, Gabriel Iglesias, Greg Geraldo, Lisa Lampenelli, Craig Robinson, David Allen Grier, and a bunch of other people I can't remember right now. The first 6 I listed were the best and are worth every penny if you get the chance to see them.

Damn, you really do like comedy. Some of Dane Cook is funny, actually just the BK lounge skit, and the rest is really stupid.

:laugh: I hadn't heard that one before, it is pretty good. I agree though that most of his stuff it stupid, but I'll admit I did like him a few years ago.

Yup, we're a little nuts. But we've always wanted a big family. We'll re-evaluate with each kid, but as it stands, Chicklet is awesome. She hasn't changed our minds at all. If anything, she makes us want more kids even more. I don't think we'll feel like our family is complete until we've had at least 3.

when i was a kid and we would visit fam in nj it would confuse me to tears when someone would ask me if i wanted some "wooder"
 
I'm going to go completely nuts waiting for my score to come back. I feel so bad for you guys right now.

I'm going to be THRILLED when I'm done with the test, but then the waiting begins. Half the reason I'm going on an entertainment bender afterwards is to distract myself.
 
oh i meant i can't wait for school to end, but thanks, guys, for reminding me about mcat scores. seriously i always forget hahaha
 
Hey guys, watching house, avoiding finishing my posters I have to print tomorrow 🙁

I also found out today that some of the upper science staff has no faith in my thesis (reading on thursday) because I'm a junior and everyone else is a senior. They sent out an email to all of the staff talking about the people reading their thesis's this week and left me off 😡

Hellz yes. The witch of a professor that did it doesn't like me because I didn't kiss up to her in her lab and I ended up leaving when they (her and her husband) kept making excuses as to why they wouldn't let me actually start working in the lab.
 
why wouldn't you kiss up? i love kissing...up.

but really, my lips get ruhl far up a prof's backside when they need to be. it works

I left my first PI when he told me my next job was to essentially complete 50% of this gigantic project and refused to give me any more help than "go look stuff up in the library." I was only a sophomore too....

Her form of kissing up was be in the lab each day at 6am and don't leave unless you have class or until your work is done, even if that means staying really late.

depends on the school i think. if you go to some place like mayo or cleveland clinic they won't let you do much, cause their patients are generally too important for you to touch. but if you go to like suny downstate or miami where you get to see a lot of underserved patients, then you can be a lot more hands on.

That's what I heard from other physicians, but you'd get some awesome rec letters if you do rotations at those places. In general, private practices like the two clinics won't give you much hands on experience as med students.
 
i find it amusing how i havent even remotely started working on a personal statement, and half you guys are alraedy done

I'm not done with mine yet. I wrote one but it's only a first draft and I'm not really happy with it. I'm going to spend weeks revising like heck, pausing only for alcohol breaks and sleep
